Franklin County Schools is proud to continue to provide no-cost breakfast and lunch to all students for the 2025-2026 school year. Ensuring students are well-nourished is essential for learning, and we remain committed to providing nutritious meals every school day at no cost.
This offering is made possible through our continued participation in the Community Eligibility Provision, which is supported by USDA through the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
Healthy school meals play a crucial role in helping students succeed, and they are especially important for students who may face food insecurity. Research shows that access to meals at school improves overall health, helps reduce obesity, reduces behavior problems, and supports stronger academic performance. By offering meals to all students, we remove barriers and reduce any stigma related to receiving school meals.
